LLamasoft acquired by Coupa Software for $1.5Billion

Augment Ventures congratulates LLamasoft Inc., the global leader in AI-powered supply chain design and planning on being acquired by Coupa Software Inc. (NASDAQ: COUP), a leader in Business Spend Management for about $1.5 Billion.

Events of this year have shined a spotlight on supply chain agility, as companies rapidly adapt to changing consumer preferences, economic conditions, and the political landscape. LLamasoft provides these capabilities with an AI-powered cloud platform that empowers companies to make smarter supply chain decisions, faster. This acquisition will strengthen Coupa’s supply chain capabilities, enabling businesses to drive greater value through Business Spend Management.

LLamasoft received its Series-A funding in 2012 from investors including Augment Ventures, Nike and MK Capital. Goldman Sachs and TPG further invested in the growth of the company. The dedicated and talented team at LLamasoft has created innovative solutions for the supply chain software industry and transformed the company into a global leader with over 700 leading global customers. The transaction is expected to close over next few months and is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval. Additional terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
